CTO
Before joining Trilogy, Alan served as CTO at Royall & Company. He was responsible for the architecture, development, and maintenance of the systems, developed for higher ed, that helped Royall sell for over $850 Million in 2015. In addition to serving as Trilogy’s CTO, Alan provides due diligence support for a number of private equity groups in the education space. Alan was named the first U.K Java Champion, recognized as part of an exclusive group of passionate Java technology and community leaders.
Licensing Lead
Elliott joined Trilogy Mentors after five years of managing implementation and operations for multiple SAAS products. He began his professional career managing a Huntington Learning Center in South Riding, Virginia as a tutor but quickly elevated to Managing Director. After two years, Elliott left Huntington and joined Nexus Systems, onboarding AP software as an Implementation Manager. After his time at Nexus, Elliott, his wife, and his pup, Opie, moved back to Richmond to the home of their alma mater, VCU. He now works as the Licensing Lead at Trilogy Mentors, empowering learning centers to expand and scale with the Trilogy Platform.
Customer Success
Flora received her undergraduate degree in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a minor in media studies, as well as the da Vinci Center’s Certificate in Product Innovation. Very involved in the da Vinci Center programming, she worked as a STEM Ambassador through da Vinci’s partnership with the Science Museum of Virginia. She served as an outreach program assistant and also served as the on-campus recruiter for the program. She began working with Trilogy as the Mentor Coordinator and Recruiter and now serves as Trilogy’s Marketing Manager, developing communication strategies and crafting internal and external communications pertaining to recruitment, on boarding, operations, partnerships, and promotions.
Chief Revenue Officer
Nate is a proven entrepreneur and business strategist with over twenty years of experience in business building and software product development and sales. Prior to joining Trilogy Mentors, Nate co-founded Blazetrak,a platform that guarantees video access and high-end A&R to the top professionals and celebrities in the music industry. In addition to Blazetrak, he helped launch the digital asset management company Digital ReLab where he closed enterprise level contracts, including; PBS, Essence Magazine, and WFMT Radio. Nate has lectured many times at UVA’s Darden School of Business and advises entrepreneurs around the country (from New England Conservatory’s “Music in Entrepreneurship” program to Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business).
Chief Learning Officer
Erika is an Education Specialist and joined Trilogy Mentors, shortly after leaving her position as the Outreach Coordinator at the Science Museum of Virginia, where she developed STEM curriculum and managed the Out-of-School Time (OST) program. She received her B.S. in Engineering-Psychology (Ergonomics) from Tufts University, and after a 7-month backpack trip around the world post-graduation, became an HCI specialist. Always feeling pulled towards education, she went on to receive her Masters in Special Education, from CCNY, and spent 5 years working for the NYC Dept. of Education in many different capacities (Data Specialist, STEM instructor, Teacher, and Mentor – just to name a few). She moved to Virginia to receive her EdS. from the University of Virginia – focusing on research and programming related to Instructional Design and Instructional Technology in K-12, higher education, and corporate settings.
Founder and CEO
John graduated from the University of Richmond, where Trilogy Mentors was first started as an in-person mentorship program that matched university students with K-12 students for academic support and mentorship. Having a deep personal connection to academic mentorship, John expanded Trilogy Mentors to the online space to increase access and build support networks for students. Knowing that meaningful relationships with instructors and tutors have the power to inspire students to reach personal and academic success, John is dedicated to partnering with parents, schools, nonprofits, and other educational organizations to reach students when and where they need academic support the most. John was recently named one of Richmond’s 25 most influential innovators under 25 by Richmond Innovation.
